Section 1 The West Bengal Development Corporation Act, 1954 State Act of West Bengal · Act 14 of 1955
(1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Dove- Short title, 'opulent Corporation Act, 1954. extent and commence-
(2) It extends to the whole of West Bengal. meat.
(3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
2. In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in Definithe subject or context,— gene.
(a) "the Corporation" means the Development Corporation established under section 3;
(b) "Board" means an Executive Board constituted under section 13;
(c) "prescribed" means prescribed by rules made under this Act.
