Where any accident occurs in the operation ofany Lift, Escalator or Travelator, which results or is likely to have resulted in loss ofhuman life or injury to any person, the owner or any agent appointed by the owner under sub Section (1) of Section 12 of the Act shall inform the Inspector immediately about the occurrence ofthe event ofaccident and a detailed report in the Form XI be submitted within 48 hours ofknowledge ofoccurrence ofaccident. Awritten intimation ofoccurrence ofany accident shall also be given immediately to the nearest Police Station.
