Section 16

The North Bengal University Act, 1961State Act of West Bengal · Act 27 of 1961

(1) The Executive Council of the University may, after it has been constituted, hold its meetings at Darjeeling, Cooch Behar or in any other district.

(2) Any other subordinate authority may hold its meetings at Darjeeling, Cooch Behar or in any other district as the University may require.

CHAPTER IV.

OFFICERS OF THE UNIVERSITY.

16. The following shall be the officers of the more of University :— met/nivel, city.

(i) The Chancellor,

(ii) The Vice-Chancellor,

(iii) The Finance Officer,

(iv) The Registrar, and

(v) such other persons in the service of the University as the University may declare to be officers of the University.

17. The Governor of the State of West Bengal shall be The Shawl the ez-officio Chancellor of the University and shall, when "II".

present, preside at meetings of the University including any convocation of the University.
