The West Bengal Primary Education Act, 1973State Act of West Bengal · Act 43 of 1973

(1) Every Primary School. Council shall meet at least three times a year.

(2) Every meeting of the Primary School Council shall be convened by the Secretary to the Primary School Council under instructions of the Chairman:

Provided that the Chairman shall, when required in writing by one-third of the members of the Primary School Council to convene a meeting, direct the Secretary to do so within seven days from the receipt of the requisition and if no meeting is convened within the said period the members aforesaid may convene a meeting after giving seven clear days' notice to the Chairman and other members 3f the Primary School Council.
