(1) A Court-lee Register shall be maintained in Form T by the Contratiing Authority,
(2) Court-fee stamps:shall be cancelled by punching in the manner laid down in sub-section (2) of Section 44 of the West Bengal court-fees Act, 1970 (West Bengal Act X of 1970), 13, Register of Workmen.—Every employer shall maintain a Register of Workmen in Form J) showing therein the names of all his workmen and the days of the month on which such workmen were in service or for which such workmen earned wages:
Provides that twill be sufficient compliance with the provision of this rule ifthe information under this rule is maintained in any other register that the employer is required to maintain under any other law forthe time being in force and the fact of maintenance of such register is intimated to the Controlling Authority.
14, Duties of Inspectors.—{1) The duties of an Inspector appointed under Section 7 shall be, generally to make such inspection a Tuy appear to him to be necessary for satisfying himself that the provisions of the Act and these rules ond of any orders issued by the Government under the Aetoare duly observed within the locul area for which he is wppointed, und it shall alsa be the duty of an Inspector to satisfy himaelf that—
(i) the registers required to be maintained under the Act or these rules are properly maintained: and
(ii) the provisions of the Act and these rules regarding payment of hawse- Tent allowance are duly observed,
(2) For the purpose of making such inspection, the Inspector may interrogate such persons as he Moy Cee Necessary, of any premises or place where, he has. reason to believe, there isan industry:
Provided that no such person shall be required under this rule to answer any question the answer to which might tend to incciminate him.
(3) An Inspector shall inspectevery industry within the locul area for which he is appointed a leas! once inevery three months;
