The Young India Skills University, Telangana (Public-Private Partnership) Act, 2024State Act of Telangana · Act 13 of 2024

(1) The University shall offer Degrees, Diplomas, Certificate Courses and Custom-made Courses, tailored to needs of the industry and community;

(2) Each course shall be offered through a school of the university or shall be multi-disciplinary from multiple schools;

(3) The academic structure of the university shall be in such a manner, the students obtain greater hands-on experience that is aligned with the needs of the industry.

46. Admissions to different courses of the University shall Courses as per procedures defined by the Academic Council, from time to time, in the Admission Prospectus of the University.

47. The University shall recognize every degree conferred or diploma or certificates granted by any University in the state as equivalent to the corresponding degree or diploma or certificates conferred by the University.

48. The University shall, on decision of the Board of Governors, allow affiliation of other Colleges, Skill Training Centers, Institutes or Centers of Excellence, offer & certify courses through them.

CHAPTER - VIII STATUTES, ORDINANCES AND REGULATIONS

49. Subject to the provisions of this Act, the Executive Council shall have the power to make Statutes for all or any of the following matters, namely:-

(i) the constitution, powers and duties of the Authorities of the University;

(ii) the powers, duties and conditions of service of the officers of the University and other positions mentioned in the act, other than the Chancellor and the Vice- Chancellor;

(iii) the methods of nomination to the Authorities of the University and save as otherwise provided, the procedure at Admission to University Courses.

Affiliation with the University.

Statutes.

[Act No.13 of 2024] 37 meetings of such authorities including the quorum for the transaction of business by them;

(iv) the holding of convocations to confer degrees/ diplomas/certificates;

(v) the institution of pension, insurance or provident fund for the benefit of the officers, teachers and other employees of the University;

(vi) the maintenance of a register of Registered Graduates;

(vii) the institution and maintenance of University and constituent schools, satellite campuses, libraries, laboratories and hostels;

(viii) the administration of endowments and the institution and conditions of award of fellowships, travelling fellowships, scholarships, studentships, bursaries, exhibitions, medals and prizes; and

(ix) all matters which by this Act may be prescribed by Statutes.
