Section 5: Application by private individual, public or private agency to obtain unclassified data

(1) Any individual, public or private agency may obtain copy of any non-classified and/or un-restricted geo-spatial data and gee-spatial map for non-commercial purposes by applying in Form No.2 annexed to these rules subject to payment of such charges, cost and/or fee, prescribed from time to time and notified:

Provided that any such copy of information may be permitted to be obtained for commercial purposes also by applying online in Form No.3 annexed to these rules subject to payment of such charges, cost and/or fee, prescribed from time to time and notified :

Provided further that the government may authorize Gee Spatial Delhi Limited, a Government Enterprise, authorized under the Act to administer the geo-spatial data, to scrutinize the applications seeking information or copy thereof, to manage and administer all such applications, to charge and collect fee/cost as prescribed from time to time and supply the information or copy thereof to the applicants as per the provisions of these rules in accordance w~h the provisions of the Act and the rules framed therefor.
