(1) The Member Secretary of the Committee shall place road safety schemes received from the transport, police, health, public works or any other government department; any District Road Safety Committee; NGOs working in the field of road safety or prepared suo-moto, before the Committee after due examination;
(2) He/she shall issue a formal administrative and financial sanction for funding the schemes after approval thereof from the Committee.
(3) He/she shall co-ordinate the necessary works related to the successful execution of the approved schemes.
(4) He/she shall submit the detailed report of receipts and expenditure from the scheme to the State Government, as may be required from time to time.
(5) He/she shall ensure maintenance of a separate account of the scheme in accordance with the rules.
