Section 25: Procedure where the number of candidates is equal to or less than the number of seats

(1) No poll shall be held pursuant to a notification of election issued under Rule - 10 - 15 where the number of candidates contesting from any Electoral College is equal to or less than the number of seats to be filed in that Electoral College.

(2) The Returning Officer shall forthwith declare in Form 18 that such candidates are duly elected to fill the seats and shall inform to be Government about the result.

26. Procedure to the adopted by Returning Officer, Presiding Officer and Polling Officer- Every Returning Officer, the Presiding Officer and Polling Officer, shall as far as possible, follow the procedures laid down in the conduct of Election Rules of State made under Representation of Peoples Act, 1951, (Central Act, 43 of 1951)]
