Section 4: Furnishing Articles are the property of the State Government

The Karnataka Ministers Residence (Furnishing) Rules 1994State Rules of Karnataka · 1957

(1) Every furnishing articles required to be provided to the residence of a Minister shall be the property of the State Government. It shall be furnished after entering them in the register maintained in Form ‘A’ by the officer in charge in Public Works Department and after obtaining an acknowledgement from the Minister or from the Private Secretary to the Minister authorised in his behalf. A duplicate copy of the list of such articles furnished shall also be provided to him.

(2) Whenever a Minister relinquishes his office, the articles provided to the residence under sub-rule (1) of rule 3, shall be handed over by the Minister concerned to the Officer in charge in Public Works Department along with the list of those articles.
