Section 5: Maintenance and Up-keep of furnished articles
The Karnataka Ministers Residence (Furnishing) Rules 1994State Rules of Karnataka · 1957
(1) The expenditure on maintenance of the articles provided under these rules, in good condition and or towards repairs of such articles due to normal wear and tear shall be borne by the State Government.
(2) The officer in charge in Public Works Department shall take necessary steps for up-keep of the costly articles such as all Teak Wood /Rose Wood furniture, Sofas, Television, Refrigerator, VCP/VCR, Carpets etc., in good condition by getting them repaired and polished periodically.
(3) Breakable articles such as glass ware, crockeries etc., which are not used and are found unserviceable in the opinion of the Public Works Department shall be disposed of as per provisions of relevant rules.
