The State Government after giving by notification in the Official Gazette not less than three months's notice of its intention so to do may, by like notification, [modify any item of the Schedule or] add to the Schedule any employment in respect of which it is of opinion that the provisions of this Act should apply and the provisions of this Act shall thereupon [apply to such employment as modified or added].
