(1) As soon as the commencement of this act, the state Government shall call upon theNagaland Baptist Church Council and Council ofBaptist Church inNortheast India, the Sponsoring Bodies to set up an endowment Fund of Rupees One Crore for the purpose of the university.
(2) Immediately after the setting up of the Endowment Fund as aforesaid, the State Government shall accord sanction for establishment of the university by name of theNorth East Christian University and thereafter the Sponsoring Bodies shall accordingly establish tlie University.
(3) The State Government shall notiEj the fact of establishment ofthe University in the Official Gazette as soon as may be after the establishment of the University by the Sponsoring Bodies.
(4) The University shall be a body corporate by the name aforesaid, having perpetual succession and common seal and shall, by that name, sue and be used.
( 5 ) (i) The headquarter of the University shall be at Dimapur in the state of Nagaland.
(ii) The University shall have the power to established other campuses, study centers etc, within the Northeastern State of India for reason of operational expediency and for the Board based activities of the university.
(6) The University may established off-campus centre, and study centres subject to the provisions of the University Grant Commission Act 1956 and the regulation made there under and the pmvisions of any law for the time being in force.
(7) The University may further institute its own college and also affiliate any other college or institution in accordance with the produce enshrined in the regulations.
