Section 6: Travelling and Daily Allowances to Leader of Opposition

The Salary and Allowances of Leader of Opposition in Legislative Assembly Rules, 1979State Rules of Punjab · 1978

.• . ( I ) The Leader ofthe Opposition shall be entitled to dai Iy allowance and travelling aliowal~Je for himselfand for the members ofhis family and for the transportation of his and his family'S effects according to the scale for the time being admissible to aM inister ot'the Punjab Government:-

(i) in respect of the journey to Chandigarh from his usual place of residence outside Chandigarh for assuming office:

(ii) in respect of the journey from Chandigarh to his usual place of residence outside Chandigarh on relinquishing office.

(2) Ill" shall also be entitled to daily allowance and travell ing allow ance of tour undertaken by him within or out of the State of Punjab in the discharge of his duties as the Leader of the Opposition in accordance with the aforesaid scale.
