Section 11: Application for permission or appeal against notice

(1) The person aggrieved by the notice under sub-section (1) of section 18 may, within a period of one month, apply for permission under section 15 for the retention on the land of any building or works or for the continuance of any use of the land, to which the notice relates or appeal against such notice to the State Government.

(2) In case an appeal is made by the affected person to the State Government, the State Government shall decide the same within a period of forty five days from the date of receipt of an appeal.

(3) The application under sub-section (3) of section 18 shall contain sufficient reasons substantiated by documentary evidence as to why the notice under subsection (1) of the said section 18 should be withdrawn.
