Section 13: Notice of election

Tamil Nadu Farmers' Management of Irrigation Systems Election Rules, 2003State Rules of Tamil Nadu · 2001

(1) The Collector shall, publish the notice of election to elect the members of Territorial Constituencies and Presidents of Water Users Associations in Form-2.

(2) The notice shall specify the Territorial Constituencies and Water Users Associations for which elections are to be held, the placce, dates, timings and Officer for receiving nominations, scrutiny of nominations, withdrawal of candidature, finalization of list of contesting candidates and allotment of symbols, venue for election, the date and time during which poll shall be held and counting of votes for the election to the members of the Territorial Constituencies and Presidents of Water Users Associations.

(3) The election shall be held after a minimum of five days after the date of publication of final list of contesting candidates.

(4) the Collector shall also arrange for the display of the notice of election in the Notice Board and two other conspicuous places of the Water Users Association.
