The Government may by notification, amend, add or delete the services. d€signated omcers of every public authori, or Local Authority under each Secrelariat Departme.t, competent oflicer and appellate authonty aiong w1th stipulated time limits lvithin which the services are rendered under this Act and may by like notifrcation amend or vafr the entries in the rule.
s. Providins services trithiD th€ stipulatcd time. - (l)'lhe stipulal€d lime may start frcm the date when r€quired appiication is submitt€d to the designated olicer or to a person subordinate to him authorized to receive the application in such manner as may be prcscribed in tule. Such application sMll be duly acknowledged.
(2) The designaled omcer on receipt of an application under sub-section (l) shall within the slipulated time either dir€ctly provide the se ice or through an officer duly authorized by him or rejcct the application and jn case of rejection of applicalion, shall record the reasons in writing and intimate to the applicant, the information about the period ofmaking appeal against the decision and all the details of the compelent ofI;cer to whom the first appeal lies.
