(1) For purposes of open recruitment to Class B posts whether from the open market or by promotion there shall be constituted a selection committee comprising-
(i) two officers not below the rank of Deputy Secretary to be nominated by the Secretary to the State Government in the Agriculture Department.
(ii) Three officers not below the rank of Deputy Director in the service the Board to be nominated by the Chairman of the Board.
NOTE-The Chairman of the Selection Committee shall be nominated by the Secretary to the State Government in the Agriculture Department out of the officers mentioned in clauses (i) and (ii).
(2) For purposes of recruitment to Class C, posts of the Secretaries/Mandi Paryavekshak from the open market or by promotion there shall be constituted a Selection Committee comprising-,
(i) one officer not below the rank of a Deputy Secretary to be nomi-nated by the Secretary to the State Government in the Agriculture department.
(ii) two officers not below the rank of a Deputy Director in the service of the Board to be nominated by the Director.
NOTE-The Chairman of the Selection Committee shall be nominated by the Director out of the members mentioned in clauses () and (ii).
(3) For recruitment to other Class C posts, whether by direct recruitment or by promotion, the selection committee shall consist of three officers including the chairman to be nominated by the Director.
1[(4) For recruitment to Class D posts the Selection Committee, shall consist of the Regional Deputy Director (Administration), one officer nominated by the Director and the Secretary and where there are more than one Secretary the senior most Secretary of the concerned Market Committee. The senior most officer among the shall be the Chairman.]

(2) Except as otherwise provided in the regulation, any appointment made to the posts included in the centralised service as a result of regular selection before the promulgation of these regulations will be deemed to be an appointment under these regulation and shall be valid for all purposes.
Determination of vacancies.
1[14.(a) The vacancies in Group 'B' shall be filled through requisition to Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, Allahabad.
(b) Vacancies of Group 'C' shall be filled through requisition to Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Commission.
(c) In case above service commissions are disbanded or do not existing or there are some urgent exigencies, the selection procedure shall be conducted by the market board or other institutions with the approval of the State Government.]
Fees.
15. Candidates taking part in the selection by direct recruitment shall be required to pay to the appointing authority such fees as may be prescribed from time to time by the Board.
