Section 36: Recording of votes of blind and infirm electors

Provided that no persen shall be permitted to act as the companion of more than one elector at any-polling station on the same day:

Provided further that before any person is permitted to act as the companion of an elector on any day under this rule, the person shall be required to declare that he will keep secret the vote recorded by him on behalf of the elector la that he nas not already acted as the companion of any other elector at any polling station on that day. ) - (2) The Matdan Adhyaksha shall keep a record of all cases under this rule.

(2) Every-su-h ballot paper shall be marl2d as "cancelled: Returned” and Lept in a cover set apart for the purpose and the Matdan Adhyaksha shall keep a record of all such ballot papers. .

- (3) An elector who has inadvertently dealt with his ballot paper in such manner that it cannot be conveniently used as a ballot paper may, on returning it to the Matdan Adhyaksha, and on satisfying him of the inadvertence, be given another ballot paper and the ballot paper so returned shall be marked "spoilt and cancelled" by the Matdan Adhyaksha and kept in a separate envelope set apart for the purpose. ‘
