(1) In any water, right of experimental fishing for research and exploration of fisheries resources at any time by any method shall be reserved for Director, fisheries or any officer authorized by him.

(2) The right to cancel the licence and contract issued to any institution or person shall be vested on the Director, Fishery on the violation of Act and provisions or any part of it made there under
(3) It is necessary to every license holder/ permit holder to show license/ permit on demand of any person authorised in subsection (1) of Section 8.
(4) Beat wise allocated waters shall be given for fishing on the basis of bidding.
(5) For beat wise bidding of purview, minimum amount shall be determined by the Director, Fishery with the consent of State Government.
(6) Fishing of Mahseer of weight of less than 400 gram and fish of other species of weight of less than 250 gram underfishing shall be completely restricted.
(7) Fishing with the net, one kilometer in the direction of the drift and one kilometer in the opposite direction of the drift of general waters from the interflow of Mahseer waters, shallbe completely restricted.
(8) Institution shall be permitted to use the net of minimum two inch dimension for fishing.
(9) If the net of the small dimension from the determined minimum measurement is used by the institution, the contract of that institution shall be cancelled and legal proceeding against them shall be initiated.
(10) In the allocated purview, there shall not permitted any kind of fishing in addition to the condition determined for fishing.
(11) If, during fishing in the water reservoir under control of forest department, various Act and rules made there under are being violated, the concerned division forest officer may ban the fishing immediately and the recommendation of cancellation of the license of contract issued to the institution/ person shall be forwarded to the Director, Fisheries by the concerned divisional officer.
