Section 7: Method of packing

Vanaspati Grading and Marking Rules, 1990Central Rules · 1937

(1)Only the containers of tin, glass, plastic and other material the condition of which as approved by Agricultural Marketing Adviser or an officer duly authorised by him shall be used for packing of Vanaspati.

(2) The containers shall not be composed, wholly or party of any poisonous or deleterious substance which will render the contents injurious to health.

(3)The net weight of Vanaspati in a package shall be 100 grams, 200 grams, 500 grams, I kilogram, 2 Kilograms, 5 Kilograms or in multiples of 5 kilograms (4 )All the containers shall be securely closed and sealed in a manner prescribed by the Agricultural Marketing Adviser or an officer duly authorised by him.
