You are drafting something a judge will read and you need the reported text and the citation that goes with it. This is not a close call.

How these are written
Why you should trust a vendor's own comparison page
You should not, by default. So here are the rules we hold ourselves to, and they are enforced in the source of this site rather than merely promised here.
Every claim carries a source and a date
Each competitor claim links to the page it was read from, and each comparison shows the date it was last checked. Nothing here is written from memory or from a competitor's marketing deck.
If we could not verify it, we left it out
Several of these companies publish no corpus figure and no price. Where that is the case we say so rather than estimating. A verification pass on 19 September 2026 deleted four claims from our own first draft that would have been wrong in public.
We say where they are better
Every page has a section on when to choose the other tool, and the comparison table marks the rows they win. Indian Kanoon is free and better known than us. SCC Online and Manupatra have editorial depth we do not have. LegitQuest holds certifications we do not hold.
We never reproduce their editorial content
Raw judgments are public domain under Eastern Book Company v. D.B. Modak, (2008) 1 SCC 1, but a publisher's headnotes, copy edited text and paragraph numbering are not. We describe that such content exists. We do not quote it, and we do not ingest it.
